What is a laminar hood?

Laminar hood is actually a linear flow hood (Laminar Flow Hood).

This hood is used to control pollution from infiltrating the tested environment and to direct the pollution caused by the tested materials out of the testing environment so that the staff and people of the laboratory are not harmed.

For this reason, laminar hood and its types are one of the most important and main laboratory equipment.

In this type of hoods, a filter called a Hepa filter is used. The function of the Hepa filter is to draw the air inside the hood, which has a high probability of contamination, by means of a suction, and releases clean air in a linear and slow manner.
